Expedition to the Volcano Eyes of Salty - Nov/Dic 2004
Day 1 of December, today we rose calmly, we have slept well, oyendo the wind all night and we get ready to arrive at the Green Lagoon, to give a bath us in its thermal waters and to look for a place where to sleep to more of 4.000m., since the lagoon is 4.200m., when we arrived we do not give credit, in this vast red sand desert, arises an immense lagoon from turkish blue color whose waters have a high degree of salinity and are frozen…, in the border of the Lagoon we enjoyed a bath of water to 36ºC, sulfurous water, what wonder, to relax muscles.
We go to the Control of Customs officers to register (is obligatory to raise to the Volcano Eyes of Salty and for cases of rescue or the emergencia) and offer an annexed room to us to the quarter where we can spend the night, since according to they communicate to us, the Murria Refuge to 4,500 M.s is full, 10 Italian more and 10 Chileans, reason why we decided to remain here in the quarter to 4.300m., to rest well and to raise the Died Mules tomorrow, 5.800m.
